This is just 1 of the many poems I have written. Hope ya like it!! ;D (P.S: Criticism is welcome)
Top of the World
You may not this, but sometimes, I feel like I'm on top of the world. Why, I don't know, but it's great! I feel like I could walk on water, fly so high 'till I reached heaven. But when I hear your voice, everything changes. I come crashing down, landing in your arms. And when you catch me, I'll be staring into your eyes, drowning. You'll save me from that, too. Then you'll put me down and hold me tight, saying how much you love me.

here's another poem:
Calling Out
Is this all you see? When you look at me? A colored girl with no perspective of the world? Well I have hopes and dreams And goals and rights That keep me awake on cold winter nights The ozone layer halfway gone Nature destoyed; can't even be drawn Like a portrait of a tree Or a painting of the sea Nothing here but my paper, pen, and me Look around you, You're all alone Like a kitten left out in the cold I need help. You need help. We should help each other.

Here's another!!
Teenage Love
What is the sign of love that tells me when A friendship and a crush are something more? How can I know what life may have in store When all the clues rely on my Ken? How much happiness is love? And then How much long must it endure before I recognize that strange and distant shore Beyond which I won't have to ask again? I do not know, but trust that when I do The answer will surrond me like old fields On which the things I hunger for will grow. For now I share the mystery with you. Waiting for what young affection yields, And for the time when both of us will know.

by God, here's another!!!!
Why Didn't You?
As I'm walking down the street, I hear yelling, screaming, things being thrown and hitting the wall. I run and I see a few kids fighting. 'How could you?!' the girl yells. 'I did nothing!' the boy yells back and throws a baseball bat. She ducks and yells, and I just watch. I just watch. He gets a gun, thinking it was on saftey. 'Put that away!' the girl screamed. But he pointed it at her, aiming. He pretended to pull the trigger, but his finger slipped. You hear a crack, and 3 seconds later the girl is on the ground, bleeding. He gasps and runs to her, calling for help. And I just stand there. Later I come home, the fight all over the news. My mother crying, she asks: 'Why didn't you help, Celina? Why didn't you?' And I just stand there. I just stand there.
