I wrote this story but I'm sure a lot of you will be able to tell that Zack had a lot to say in it. lol
Royal Companions.
Malik Thomas stood staring idly at some graffiti tagged on the side of the school building. He had skipped his math four class to smoke a cigarette and had zoned out. The bell rang, signaling the end of sixth period and sent him tumbling back to reality. He heaved a sigh and went to go meet Chase Luis for Gym class.
Chase stood at the Gym entrance waiting for Malik to arrive. He half smiled as he walked up to him. They had tried telling people they were brothers before, but it hadn’t gone over to well seeing as how they looked nothing a like. Malik stood short at 5"8 and weighed only about 145lbs. He had peach colored skin with semi-long brown hair and ice blue eyes. He dressed in punk band tees and baggy jeans with a studded belt.
Chase on the other hand, had just a tad bit darker skin. His hair was a dyed black with green eyes. He stood at 5"11 and weighed 160lbs. His style usually consisted of baggy jeans, no belt, with large white tees and an ICP hoodie. Despite the differences in their appearances, once they spoke it wasn’t difficult to see why they had become best friends. They were exactly alike when it came to personalities.
They greeted one another with smiles and some dap before walking into the gym. It was hard not to notice the way females heads turned as Malik walked by. After becoming Captain of the un-defeated boys’ baseball team his sophomore year, Malik seemed to become the guy in every girl’s fantasy. Chase was pretty close up there as well, pitching for the team, but he didn’t mind hiding in fame’s shadows. The two smirked as they made they’re way to the boys’ locker room to dress.
“We still on for tonight?” Malik asked Chase as they changed into their basketball shorts. Chase smiled and replied with a nod. It was Friday and Chase’s father was away on business. The boys really didn’t favor crowded parties, but they didn’t mind partying together. “For sure.” He said as the walked out.
Since it was Friday, the students were aloud to do whatever they pleased as long as they stayed active. Declining a game of basketball, the two decided to just walk aimlessly around the gym, messing around. Two cheerleaders giggled in Malik and Chase’s direction. Chase sensed them first and nudged Malik in the side. He followed Chase’s direction and smiled as he walked toward the preppie duo. Chase followed with a smirk.
“Wuzzup girls?” he asked once they were all standing together. “Not much.” The girls replied in unison with matching white smiles. “How you ladies been?” Asked Chase. “Good.” Replied the first girl. “Got any plans for the night?” Asked the second. “Yeah, we chillin’.” Replied Malik. “Oh, you guys should come to my party.” Said the first, staring Chase directly in the eyes and touching his arm lightly. Both boys did their signature smirk and Chase replied. “Sorry ladies,” “told you we had plans.” Finished Malik. With that, the boys stepped away.
The second girl sighed as she watched them walk away. “Those two are so strange.” She said. “I don’t understand what it is about them..” Her friend looked over at her. “Well....” Her eyes lit up. “I heard they’re of royalty.”
